CR' collection of 1972 batch IAS begins

Collection of CRs of the 1972 batch IAS officers, for the empanelment to the rank of Additional Secretary, in the Government of India, has commenced. There are about 62 officers of this batch in the country who were empanelled to the rank of Joint Secretary.

Shankar Narayan to join GoI

Shankar Narayan is all set to join the Government of India as Additional Secretary in a month or two. 1970 batch IAS officer is currently Principal Secretary, Industries, in Madhya Pradesh.

Two panels in the Ministry of Environment rejected

Union Forests and Environment Minister has rejected two panels sent to him by the department of Personnel for the post of Joint Secretary. Now third panel is being sent to the Minister.

Mitra is IG - BSF Delhi

Ashish Kumar Mitra has joined the BSF headquarters at Delhi. He is 1970 batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre.

Mehra to be promoted

Shyam Ratan Mehra, posted in the Cabinet Secretariat, is being promoted soon. He is 1970 batch IPS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre.

Six IPS officers to retire this month

Half a dozen IPS officers are superannuating this month end. They are Mssrs:- Kalpa Pran Changkakati (Assam-Meghalaya), R R Prasad (Bihar), Mohan Murli Das (Orissa), S V Singh (Punjab), S Ganapathy (TamilNadu) and Ashok Kumar Singh - 1 (Uttar Pradesh).

1975 batch IAS to be CS Goa !

Grapevine has it that 1975 batch UT cadre IAS officer is being posted as Chief Secretary of Goa. Promotion of 1975 batch officers is expected to take place soon.

Zaidi is new JS Civil Aviation

Ashok Basak is new Chairman MSEB

Additional Chief Secretary Ashok Basak has been appointed Chairman of the Maharastra State Electricity Board. He is 1967 batch IAS officer.

Sinha to be DC in Assam

Samir Kumar Sinha is being appointed DC of the newly created Kamrup Rural District. He is 1994 batch IAS officer.

Damodaran to head new UTI units

Chairman of the Unit Trust of India M Damodaran will head UTI 1 and UTI 2. He is 1971 batch IAS officer of the Manipur-Tripura cadre.
