New changes are as under :-Mssrs K P Khare SP Satna, R P Shrivastava SP Sehore,Yogesh Deshmukh Commandant SAF,K P Venketeshwar Rao SP Datia, Ravi Kumar Gupta SP Chhattarpur,Meenakshi Sharma SP EOW,Mayank Jain SP Neemuch, Mohammad Shahid Absaar SP Tikamgarh and Markand Devaskar SP Badwani.

1974 batch IAS in Maharashtra to get promotion

Promotion of 1974 batch IAS officers to the rank of Principal Secretary is expected to take place in Maharastra soon. Altogether there are eight officers of this batch.

COPE to issue IAS-IPS list

Civil Services under fire in China

China will soon phase out jobs-for-life system for the country's 30m civil servants to squeeze greater efficiency out of its bloated bureaucracy. It sounds the death knell for a lifelong tenure system that guaranteed a salary, pension, medical insurance, education for their children and other perks - regardless of their performance. Minister goes to press against his Secretary

Food Minister in Bihar, Pooranmasi Ram, has recently approached the media telling the Press Wallas that his Secretary, JS Kang, was not listening to him. The secretary does not complies with any of his orders, the Minister said.

As predicted by us on August 12 last year, Shinde is now all set to assume the office of Maharashtra Chief Minister on Saturday. We had in our column then said, "With the Vice Presidential elections over, Sushil Kumar Shinde may now be sent to Maharastra as the Chief Minister. Congress President Sonia Gandhi is reported to have given her mind to this effect".
