78 IPS officers debarred from Central deputation

Government of India has debarred 78 IPS officers from Central deputation for five years on account of personal disinclination or on refusal by the concerned State Government. These officers will not be offered for deputation till their debarment period is over. Review of 1982 batch IAS

A couple of 1982 batch IAS officers are being empanelled to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Government of India during the review meeting next month. Cases of about half a dozen officers of this batch are to be taken up.

Ms Sibal to join LBSA

Ms Rajni Sekhri Sibal is joining the LBSA, Mussoorie, as Deputy Director. She is 1986 batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre.

Bhadu appointed Chhattisgarh HC Judge

Justice Lal Chandra Bhadu has been appointed judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court.

IAS changes in Gujarat

C K Koshy will be new Principal Secretary - Finance. V C Patel has been appointed Commissioner - Baroda Municipal Corporation. K C Kapoor has been given additional charge of Revenue. Arvind Agrawal has been made Commissioner Cottage and Rural Industries. Pankaj Kumar will be Relief Commissioner. M K Bhatt has been made Joint Secretary Education. MS Damar and B A Pathak will be Deputy Secretaries of Revenue and Industries respectively.

Promotions in SBI

Three Chief General Managers in the State Bank of India have been promoted to the posts of Deputy Managing Directors. They are Mssrs A D Kalamankar, A K Das and R K Sinha.

A P Singh has again been appointed APC.Present APC S N Jha has been made Commissioner Rural Development.Halim Khan will be new Divisional Commissioner Kanpur.B P Neelratna has been made Secretary Banking. Johra Chatterjee has been shifted to Labour Department as Commissioner.

Police Commissioner system is being introduced in Cuttack and Bhubneshwar.

CBI has registered a case against Uttar Pradesh cadre 1984 batch IAS officer .He has been charged with forgery.
