Prabh Das to be JS - Petroleum

Prabh Das is being tipped to be Joint Secretary-Petroleum in the Government of India. 1981 batch West Bengal cadre IAS officer Prabh Das would replace 1973 batch Chhattisgarh cadre IAS officer whose extended tenure is coming to an end on March 14.

1969 batch IAS empanelment further delayed

IAS officer gets Ph D

Anshu Bharadwaj, IAS (1992-Karnataka), is probably the first IAS officer to complete a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. He did his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT-Kanpur and MBA from IIM-Kolkata. He did his PhD under Dr V S Arunachalam, Padma Vibhushan, former Scientific Advisor to Prime Minister and presently at Carnegie Mellon University. His work was in combustion and advanced power generation technologies.
