There are at least four powerful contenders for the post of Governor Reserve Bank of India(RBI)-Mssrs Y B Reddy, N K Singh, Vijay Kelkar and Dr S Narayan.Rumour Mill says that Y B Reddy has the backing of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu.Brijesh Mishra will be happy if Dr S Narayan or N K Singh is appointed. Vijay Kelkar is being supported by the RSS lobby and Finance Minister Jaswant Singh.RBI Governor Bimal Jalan is sure to be nominated to the Rajya Sabha.

Sanjeev Kaushik (IAS, Kerala, 1992) has created a history.He had resigned from the IAS in 2000 and gone abroad to join the Bank of America in London.Now suddenly after three years he has reported back to the Kerala Government and withdrawn his resignation.
