PM clears 1972 batch empanelment file

Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has cleared the empanelment file of 1972 batch IAS officers to the rank of Additional Secretary in Government of India.

Additional Secretary level changes on cards

Additional Secretary level postings are expected to take place in Government of India in a couple of days.Some of the IAS officers belonging to the 1972 batch may also be accommodated.

Mohammad Shafi Pandit has been promoted to the rank of Secretary in Government of India. 1969 batch IAS officer Pandit will be new Chairman of the Rural Electrification.

Satyendra Pratihast died in Hyderabad on Sunday following massive heart attack. He was 1983 batch IPS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre.

Sugathan is JS Home in GoI

K S Sugathan is the last in 1973 batch IAS who is joining the Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs as Joint Secretary in a week or two. He is 1973 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre.

IAS changes in Tamil Nadu

1988 batch IAS officer V Kangaraj will be new Director Information and Public Relations. S Natrajan who was DPR has been made Collector of Perambalur. Rajesh Lokhani and Gagandeep Singh Bedi will be new Collectors of Kanyakumari and Cuddalore respectively.S Thangaswami will be Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister.

Three IAS and IPS officers suspended in UP

Two IAS officers Dinesh Chandra Dutta Bhargava and Ram Kumar have been suspended in Uttar Pradesh by Chief Minister Mayawati during one of the surprise inspections.One IPS officer Mukesh Babu Shukla has also been suspended.
