They are Mssrs Dharam Chand Sankhla (UT),Dr R V V Ayyar,P Raul Williams,Samarjit Ray and M V S Prasad (Andhra Pradesh),Shyamji Sahay (Bihar),Jalil Ahmad Khan (J&K),V C Rawat (MP),Rajan Kashyap (Punjab),I C Shrivastava,G L Verma and Raj Bahadur Singh (Rajasthan),Dr Chhatrasal Singh (Tamil Nadu),Ram Kripal Singh (UP)and Devinder Mohan Kanwal (West Bengal).

Tenure of Lenna Mehendale to expire

Tenure of Ms Leena Mehendale ED,PCRA will expire next week. She is 1974 batch IAS officer of Maharastra cadre.

Harbhajan Singh to be JS Fertililizers

Now the name of Harbhajan Singh is doing the round for the post of Joint Secretary Fertilizers in Government of India. 1983 batch UP cadre IAS officer Harbhajan Singh is currently Director in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Is K.R.Lakhanpal interested in a GOI deputation?

The recent empanelment of the 1972 batch saw Punajab cadre officer K.R.Lakhanpal embrace the chance of Additional Secretaryship at GoI However, despite K.R.Lakhanpal showing immense keenness and voicing his
enthusiasm to join GOI in the bureaucratic circles of punjab, it is learnt that Lakhanpal is actually not so desperately interested to be relocated at Delhi. The reason?Well this is what bureaucracy in Punjab thinks......... Lakhanpal is quite well placed in Punjab and happens to be one of the blue eyed boys of the C.M besides the importance that Lakhanpal enjoys in Punjab is far too enviable for quite a few officers to swallow and Lakhanpal would defintely miss that in Delhi.It is also learnt that Lakhanpal is rather more keen to stay back in the state and fancy a shot at the Chief Secretaryship of the state in the years to come. If he joins GoI then of the remaining last quarter of his service years left, precious two years would be taken up by the Additional Secretaryship at GOI and after that he might just be shoved away with the secretaryship of some not so important or prominent department at the Centre and even if he returns back to the state he would have already risked the chance of weakening his so called hold.However, if Lakhanpal decides to stay back in the state then he could brighten up his chances of aiming a shot at the chiefsecretaryship of the state in the years to come. In that case, he would only have to supercede 1970 batch officers to bag the coveted posting. Two of CM's blue eyed boys, P.K.Verma and A.K.Dubey would have retired by that time and a couple of more officers of the 70 batch would have retired. That would really pave the way for Lakhanpal to do some great groundwork and effective lobbying to shoot at the CS'ship of Punjab. Now only K.R.Lakhanpal knows best ..whether he is actually interested in a GOI deputation or comfortably poised in the state!
