Will DIG sue media ?

Is Punjab cadre IPS officer, Siddhartha Chattopadhyaya,DIG Ludhiana range, seriously contemplating of suing the media??Grapevine has it that after media reports of a gory accident which involved the IPS officer, completely blamed him of jumping a red light and negligent driving and injuring around 25 school children aboard an Army School Bus, Chattopadhyaya might just want to give it back to the various sections of the press.Interestingly, five leading national dailies namely, The Indian Express, The Hindustan Times, Dainik Bhaskar and The Tribune carried reports on the basis of eye witnesses that held the IPS whole solely responsible for the sordid saga. However, Chattopadhyaya vehemently denied all allegations charged by
the media and actually claims that his presence of mind, while on the driver's seat, saved the army school children.Chattopadhyaya's concern for the school kids is undoubtedly true and genuine, however what remains to be seen is whether suing the correspondents of leading dailies is just another image saving tactic by the IPS officer or a serious contemplation?Wonder how the media would react to this if Chattopadhyaya actually goes ahead and sues leading newspapers and their dailies? Would they ever remain friendly to him in the future and wouldn't Chattopadhyaya run the risk of breeding an animosity with the media for the rest of his life?
