Over two dozen 1969 batch IAS officers in the country are being empanelled to the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India most probably on June 5. List is almost ready for final approvals of Brijesh Mishra and Kamal Pande. Grapevine has it that Deputy Governor of the RBI Vepa Kamesam is getting four months extension . He is scheduled to retire this month end.

81 IPS officers facing corruption charges

Altogether 81 IPS officers in the country are facing corruption charges.Out of 81 such IPS officers 21 belong to Gujarat followed by 14 from Tamil Nadu.Nine such officers belong to Orissa, 7 to Uttar Pradesh,6 to West Bengal,5 to Haryana,2 each to Bihar,Maharastra,Madhya Pradesh and Punjab and 1 each to Kerala,Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh.
