In case K Roy Paul moves to the Defence Ministry Prassana Kumar Hota may be appointed Secretary Civil Aviation. 1969 batch Orissa cadre IAS officer Hota is being promoted to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India this week.

Additional Secretary level changes are expected to take place in the Government of India either this week or early next week.

There will be no review

Review of 1967 and 1968 batch IAS officers to the rank of Secretary in Government of India is unlikely to take place on June 5. About 8 officers are waiting in wings for the review.

Shatrughna Singh promoted

Shatrughna Singh has been promoted to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. He is 1983 batch IAS officer of Uttaranchal cadre.
