Bureaucratic changes only next week

Secretary and Additional Secretary level reshuffle in the Government of India will take place only next week after the return of Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani from his foreign tour.

Secretary Petroleum B K Chaturvedi is again up for the post of Secretary Finance in Government of India. Ultimately 1966 batch UP cadre IAS officer Chaturvedi may win the battle. Empanelmant of 1969 batch IAS

Altogether 35 IAS officers belonging to 1969 batch have been empanelled to the rank of Secretary in Government of India. Names were finalised on June 5.Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani has cleared the file of empanelment.Prime Minister Atal Behai Vajpayee will also clear the file in a day or two. Aditya Prasad Padhi has taken over as Joint Secretary Agro & Rural Industries in Government of India. He is 1983 batch IAS officer of Orissa cadre.

Serjuis Minj has been promoted to the rank of Principal Secretary in Chhattisgarh. He is 1978 batch IAS officer.

1970 batch IAS gets CS rank in Rajasthan

Two 1970 batch IAS officers Anil Vaish and Dharam Singh Meena have been promoted to the rank of Chief Secretary in Rajasthan.Vaish will be new Chairman of the Board of Revenue. Meena has been made Development Commissioner .

After a long gap A K Lakhina has got a posting in Maharastra. Lakhina who is 1974 batch IAS officer on promotion to the rank of Principal Secretary has been given the charge Transport and Excise.

Sunil Soni will be new Municipal Commissioner Navi Mumbai. Sanjay Chahande has been made Deputy Secretary in the CMs secretariat. S V R Srinivas has been appointed Commissioner Solapur Municipal Corporation. A S K Gupta will be Municipal Commissioner Pimpari-Chinchavat.Sanjay Mukherjee has been moved to Nandurbar as Collector.

1989 batch IPS officers promoted in Assam

Two 1989 batch IPS officers Mukesh Agrawal and Kumar Vinay Singdeo have been promoted to the rank of DIG in Assam. Agrawal and Singhdeo will be DIGs Prosecution and Training respectively.Meanwhile Paresh Bordoloi,Dipak Kumar and L R Bishnoi have been appointed SPs in districts of Kamrup,Sibasagar and Dhubri respectively.

IPS officers to get promotion in Maharastra

1986 batch IPS officer S P Yadav and 1987 batch officers Mssrs Sanjay Barve,S N Pandey and Bipin Bihari are being promoted to the rank of DIG.1980 batch IPS officer R T Rathore and 1981 batch officer Rakesh Maria are to be promoted to the rank of IG.

Chander Dev Singh is new Chairman of the Maharastra Public Service Commission.He is retired 1966 batch IAS officer.

PCS officer threatns to commit suicide

A senior PCS officer in Punjab, H.L.Kumar has written a letter to Chief Minister and Chief Secretary of the state saying that despite putting in numerous years of dedicated service to the state, the Punjab Government has not promoted him to the IAS level. Hence as a mark of resentment and a fallen spirit, he would be committing suicide,if his demand for promoting him to the IAS level is not met soon.

A major IAS reshuffle is expected to take place in Maharastra either today or tomorrow. The list will include PS Revenue, Registrar Cooperative Societies,Commissioner Municipal Corporation Pune and Maharastra Road Development Corporation.
