Election Commission will not issue chargesheet

Madhya Pradesh Government is being asked by the Election Commission to issue chargesheet to three IAS officers. Material of the chargesheet will however, be furnished by the Election Commission .Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh had said that his government could not suspend three Collectors as directed by the Election Commission until a chargesheet is filed against them.

Secretary to the Jharkhand Chief Minister, Ravindra Kumar Shrivastava is being changed. He is 1984 batch IAS officer.

RPF act to be amended

Government of India is considersing to amend the RPF act to empower the RPF personnel to investigate criminal cases also.

CRPF to have HQs at Rajkot and Vadodara

There is a move of the CRPF to set up headquarters at Rajkot and Vadodara in Gujarat.

WB IPS raises question of `difference'

West Bengal IAS Association has raised the question of difference of five years of service between the Principal Secretary and ADG and the difference of same number of years in the ranks of Secretary and an IG and so on. The Association has asked for a justification behind this alleged discrimination between the IAS and the IPS.

IRAS changes

Ravi Prabhat SA Grade South-Eastern Railway has been transferred to Eastern-Railway. Roopa Srinivasan SG Director Finance has been transferred as Director Finance (Stores II) Railway Board. Pushpa Bhatt Group B officer Accounts Department Western Railway has been shifted to North Eastern Railway. Ram Autar is now transferred to North Western Railway.

Foreign trips of officials in Karnataka

Altogether 106 IAS, 13 IPS and 10 IFS officers made foreign trips in Karnataka between January 2000 and July 2002.
