Now Establishment Officer will not send panel

Is the position of Establishment Officer (EO) in the Department of Personnel being weakened ? This question has arisen following a recent decision that now the EO will not send the panel of IAS officers to Central Establishment Selection Board (CESB) but it will be formed at the CESB itself. Is it so because the Department of Personnel is now being looked after by the Deputy PM, LK Advani.

Is DDA Vice-Chairman Subhash Chandra Sharma against whom CBI has registered a case close to Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani ?.It is widely believed in bureaucratic circles that 1970 batch UT cadre IAS officer Sharma is close to Advaniji. At one stage name of Sharma had prominently figured for the post of OSD to the Deputy Prime Minister.
