Gokhle declines NHRC post

Achyut Madhav Gokhle is learnt to have declined the offer for the post of Secretary-General National Human Rights Commission.He is 1968 batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre.

So here is the record breaker

ADC to Governor Punjab, Paramjit Singh Gill, IPS has been on the post for the last 13 years.Quite a record of it's kind. Wonder whether any other ADC in India can parallel or break this record.Ideally, an ADC doesn't retain his posting for more than 3 years.

ONGC promotions

In the recent promotions of ONGC (from E4 to E5, and DGMs) there has been immense arbitrariness including favouritism. It is learnt that Chairman ONGC Subir Raha instructed his Member(tech) to immediately reduce the promotions to 15 % instead of 30% preexisting norms as also in the MOU signed by the officers unions. The names included for promotion have little sanctity as most of the officers promoted are having JACKS. The good ones are writing to the CVC and also planning to represent to the Minister and others.

Pathak goes to Japan

Keshav Kumar Pathak has joined a course in Japan for a period of two years. He is 1990 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre.

Kang to be JS Health

Navreet Singh Kang will be new Joint Secretary Health in Government of India. He is 1983 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre.

Tenure of Bagchi to expire

Tenure of S Bagchi ,DDG KAPART is coming to an end next week. He is 1973 batch IAS officer of Maharastra cadre.

Kanth to succeed Suri ?

Ashok Kanth is likely to succeed Nalin Suri in the Ministry of External Affairs. Suri who is head of the China Division in the Ministry is being tipped to be India,s next envoy to Bejing.
