Who will be CBEC Chairman ?

A tug of war is on for the plum post of Chairman ,Central Board of Excise and Customs. If insiders are to be believed Finance Minister Jaswant Singh is opposed to the posting of the senior most official A K Singh while top functionaries in the GoI i.e.Brijesh Mishra and Cabinet Secretary Kamal Pande are solidly backing him. Finance Minister is keen on the appointment of U K Sen the next senior official.One has to wait and watch as to who is going to succeed CBEC Chairman M K Zutshi whose extended tenure is coming to an end on May 31.

Singh to return Bihar

S K Singh Director in the Ministry of Urban Development is expected to return to the parent Bihar cadre after completion of his tenure this month. He is 1983 batch IAS officer.

Andhra Pradesh wants repatriation of two IAS men

Andhra Pradesh Government has asked for repatriation of two IAS officers from Uttaranchal.1993 batch IAS officer Gopal Krishna Dwivedi and 1995 batch IAS officer Sanjay Kumar are currently on deputation to Uttaranchal.

Jagdish Prasad Meena is poised to become Joint Secretary Agriculture in Government of India. He is 1983 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
