Vineeta Rai has been appointed new Secretary Revenue in Government of India. 1968 batch UT cadre IAS officer Ms Rai will succeed C S Rao who is superannuating this month end.She will also hold additional charge of Secretary Banking till further arrangements are made.

Subir Dutta to be Member of UPSC !

Defence Secretary Subir Dutta is being tipped to be the new member of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).A formal order to this effect is expected to be issued soon. 1967 batch West Bangal cadre IAS officer Dutta is scheduled to superannuate in August next. Tenure of one member of the UPSC P Abraham is expiring this month only.
