Importance of being Anand Kulkarni !

Naming of successor to Anand Kulkarni an IAS of Maharshtra cadre is invariably delayed. It is a mystery. Kulkarni who is of 1982 batch was recently sent on deputation to Centre.Hithero he was Managing Director of CIDCO.It is a month since he left for Delhi, yet his successor has not been appointed. Earlier posts that Kulkarni adorned were also filled up late, after he was transferred. The post of Transport Commissioner lay vacant for four months and the post of Commissioner Sugarcane was vacant for four and a half monthsafter his transfer from both places.

Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court Justice R Dayal was appointed Chairman of the State Law Commission the day after his retirement on May 18. He, however, resigned from the post on May 22. Only Justice Dayal can give reasons about his resignation.
