Will Chaturvedi move to Finance ?

If rumour mill is to be believed Secretary Petroleum B K Chaturvedi will be new Secretary Finance in Government of India.He is 1966 batch IAS officer of UP cadre. Names of two of his batchmates are also doing the round.One thing is certain that only 1966 batch IAS officer will get this post.

Will it be Petroleum after Power ?

IAS have already lost the Power Secretary post to a technocrat. The next in the line is the turn of Petroleum Secretary, it is learnt. In case Secretary Petroleum B K Chaturvedi moves to the North Block, this post too is likely to go to a technocrat soon. Rumours are that the ONGC Chairman, Subir Raha, may be the first among technocrats to hold this post. Raha ,however. should not be sure this time since Kamal Pande is the Cabinet Secretary not T R Prasad.

Tenure of Mathur to expire

Five year deputation tenure of Rajasthan cadre 1986 batch IAS officer Yaduvendra Mathur will expire tomorrow. He is serving in the Finance Ministry.
