Who will head new Commission ?

A Competition Commission which is in the offing is expected to start functioning by June this year. But the million dollar question is that who will head the new Commission which would function under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Company Affairs.

Cabinet Secretary Kamal Pande faced a piquant situation a few days ago as Shipping Minister Shatrughan Sinha gave the former his piece of mind.The Bihari babu reportedly told Pandeji in unequivocal terms that he will like to see only B.B.Shrivastava as Joint Secretary in the Shipping Ministry. Bipin Bihari Shrivastava is an IAS of 1978 batch from Bihar cadre.The episode does not end here because Rashtriya Janata Dal(RJD) supreme Laloo Prasad Yadav is disinclined to get Shrivastava relieved.To cap it all the panel for the slot of JS Shipping that was prepared by the Cabinet Secretary has been rejected .
