Kaun banega Karnataka Chief Secretry ?

While the current incumbent, B.S. Patil, still has some months to go before he demits office for a career in politics(?), there is quite naturally some speculation about his successor. The next in line is K.K. Misra(1967), a very competent officer who is popular with the cadre. But gossip says there are others who are in the reckoning. One is V.K Gore (1968) and the other is B.K Das (1969) both officers having that extra something which appeals to the Chief Minister. Well, time alone will tell.

Grapevine has it that Congress supremo, Sonia Gandhi has given an appointment for two dissident camps from Punjab . Rumour mill has it that dissident MLAs from Congress shall be voicing their grudges against Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and his high handedness. Certain MLAs are already furious that the Maharajah has asked the state vigilance to get cracking on Cong MLAs too along with Akali MLA's. Grapevine has it that senior Congress leaders Partap Singh Bajwa ans Rajinder Kaur Bhattal are the ones most annoyed with the Maharajah. December 1 is the supposed appointment date for the first dissident camp and December 2, the appointment the for the second camp. Would Punjab see a change in leadership? Will Capt Amarinder Singh be

Who is black sheep in Punjab Police ?

In a sensational disclosure, Akali Supremo, Parkash Singh Badal left the entire Punjab Police Vigilance team dumb struck yesterday, particularly Siddhartha Chattopadhyaya, DIG Ludhiana absolutely speechless, when he made public the "disproportionate properties and assets of the Badals" report filed by the 1986 batch IPS officer, Siddhartha Chattopadhyaya that was to be used to file Crucial chargesheets against the Badal family . Chattopadhayaya's report which supposedly mentioned the assets and properties of the Badal clan in USA, New Zealand and Australia was considered to be a top secret till the time Badal knocked the lights out of Chattopadhyaya, A.P Pande - ADGP/Vigilance , B.K.Uppal - DIG Vigilance and the entire vigilance department . t is rumoured that the report is based more on undisclosed sources than on factual evidences, which is what adds more punch to Badals's hit back. What is noteworthy to mention here is that rumour mills were already working overtime about Siddhartha Chattopadhyaya's multiple foreign trips to US, Now what is really puzzling and perplexing all is who amongst the Vigilance team is the "Black Sheep" who has made the report available to the Badals??
