Punjab Chief Minister and DGP !

How else can one explain the situation of Punjab as of today? Baffling yet comical!!??!!. The bitter animosity between DGP A.A.Siddiqui and Home Secretary, S.K.Sinha is common knowledge now and has come into light quite strongly. Yet the hostile acrimony became a free for all , no holds barred show for the entire nation when S.K.Sinha, Home secretary as per the directions of Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh, seriously objected to the transfer of around 25 DSP's which were initiated by the DGP. Even the Chief Minister openly lambasted the DGP for the same.If one remembers then a couple of months back Whispers reported the sudden visit of a "Good Samaritan" from Delhi who stayed at the UT Guest house in Chandigarh and who supposedly exchanged "Pleasantries" with around 25 DSP's while speculations of transfers in Punjab were soaring sky high. Rumour mill has it that the "Good Samaritan" had quite "close" proximity to DGP A.A.Siddiqui. Even ADGP Administration Mohd Izhar Alam, a trusted confidante of DGP Siddiqui was also rumoured to be quite friendly with the "Benevolent Soul from Delhi".Now the transfer of around 25 DSP's by DGP A.A.Siddiqui recently drew ire and flak from CM Amarinder Singh. However, the DGP had already executed the transfers. Was he under any kind of moral obligation???Once Chief Minister Amarinder Singh openly blasted DGP Siddiqui on national media and hinted that he was free to proceed for Delhi, it is rumoured that Siddiqui had requested Political Advisor to Congress Chief, Sonia Gandhi, Mr Ahmad Patel, who also happens to be an immediate relative of the DGP, to "bring the Home Secretary and Media Advisor to CM, B.I.S.Chahal on line." To prove his supremacy the CM ordered a major reshuffle in the policing machinery of the state.
Meanwhile a very strong rumour wave swept Punjab yesterday, that had it that DGP A.A.Siddiqui tried to build pressure on the CM by offering him to proceed on a 6 months leave and ADGP Intelligence S.S.Virk, one of the blue eyed officers of the CM, was ready to jump into the DGP's shoes who reportedly also met some big wig Congress leaders like Jagdish Tytler and Sheila Dixit in Delhi to strengthen his chances. It is important to point out that the stay of Virk in Punjab would be irregular and MHA had already ordered his repatriation to parent cadre, Maharashtra. Now rumour mill has it that the pushing of S.S.Virk's candidature could be an undercover " Badal Ploy" through the Congress circle, as Virk is rumoured to be in the good books of Badal too. Therefore is making Virk the Acting DGP Punjab an effort by the Akalis to win over Amarinder Singh in a hidden or surreptitious way???.However, if an anarchy breaks in the state then it would be really embarrassing for Congress and Amarinder Singh and this would also give the Akalis a much waited chance to flog the Congress openly. So is the Chief Minister thinking of a truce package for A.A.Siddiqui that would not only save the face of Congress in Punjab but also mellow down the roar of DGP A.A.Siddiqui?? Only Time and Amarinder Singh have an answer to that question??
