Four IAS officers of the 1969 batch are going get their podstings.They are mssrs Laxmi Chand (UP) Ashok Vijayvargiya(Jharkhand)Radha Singh (Bihar) and Shekhar Dutt (Madhya Pradesh).They will be appointed Secretary in Government of India in a month or two.

Reliance infocom gifts Chandigarh to Punjab !

So while Punjab and Haryana have been fighting like cats and dogs for last couple of decades over posession of the City Beautiful, Chandigarh,it seems Punjab has an amazingly benevolent well wisher in the form of telecom giant Reliance Infocom.The telecom giant has listed Chandigarh to be a part of Punjab,in a compilation of cities throughout Punjab where their services are available on their official web site. However, the Haryana city list has no mention of the city beautiful at all. Moreso even the map of Punjab on the site categorically shows Chandigarh to be inside Punjab.And the entire nation very well knows Chandigarh to be a Union Territory!
Isn't it?Shouldn't somebody teach Indian Geography to the Ambani run telecom giant once again?One thing is for sure C M Punjab, Amarinder Singh would be glad to have such a strong supporter in his kitty.
