Who will succeed Lalit Sharma in Arunachal Pradesh ?

The ouster of controversy shrouded Advisor to Administrator, Chandigarh,Virendra Singh is almost certain. Grapevine has it that the well networked 1969 batch officer might very soon have to leave Chandigarh lock, stock and barrel. However, the rumour mill has it that Virendra Singh is trying to put up a brave front by confirming to friends and associates that he wouldn't have to budge from Chandigarh. Meanwhile,it is learnt that Dy P.M has cleared the name of Lalit Sharma,Chief Secretary Arunachal Pradesh to take over as the Advisor. However, the delay in Lalit Sharma's arrival in Chandigarh is not because some vested individuals have been successful in scuttling his appointment in the Chandigarh Administration. The delay is simply because Sharma's replacement in Arunachal has not yet been found. While it is a known fact that UT Cadre officers generally are not too keen to be posted in Arunachal and Andaman and each one of them either wants Delhi, Pondicherry or Chandigarh, its time that UT cadre officers rise above cherished choices and do justice to the North Eastern state. Will there be a single UT cadre officer in Delhi or elsewhere in India who would have the courage and conviction to stand up and say that he's willing to do justice to the North Eastern state and willing to serve there? One hopes that ways both Arunachal and Chandigarh could see some light at the end of the day!

Why was Dr Singh not allowed to meet the President??

Grapevine has it that Dr Karan Avatar Singh, Finance Secretary, Chandigarh Administration was not invited to meet the honourable President Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam on his recent meet to Chandigarh. It is learnt that some vested individuals never wanted Dr Singh to meet the President, Dr Kalam . All that mattered to them was to earn some brownie points for themselves only. Meanwhile, Dr Singh, one of the finest officers that Chandigarh ever had and a major factor in inviting IT big wiggies like Infosys and the University of Columbia into Chandigarh was supposedly kept at bay deliberately, whereas even the junior strata of the Administration like SDM's got the opportunity of joining the President in an exchange of pleasantries. Who is responsible for this lapse ?.
