Poonam Khetrapal Singh, a Punjab cadre 1975 batch IAS officer, has been given the rare honour of being elected as Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh. Poonam had also been appointed the first Indian Executive Director in the Cabinet of Director General WHO, Geneva, in 1998. In fact, she is the only non-medical person, of the 19, elected for the prestigious fellowship by the College this year.

'Interim' cut……the EPF rules will have to be modified for this!!!! Could this have made this Government into an 'interim' Government…..Bardhan however says…..Yeh Dosti hum nahi todenge???? The Commies were actually asking for an increase in the EPF rate………..kudos maanga thhaa duhaai toh nahi maangi thhee…….they wanted a pat on their back from their electorate….with the rate cut bouquets have turned into brickbats!!!

Manmohan rightly wants to remove the bias…..he does not want to replace the biased with the biased!!!! He wants the right mix of Believers, non Believers, leftists , rightists , dreamers, pragmatists, political, non political etc.
