The Stock market got a 1000 Volt shock at the start of trade…a huge block deal worth an estimated cost of Rs.1000 crores ( 3% stake) in Bharti went through. The Media is in a frenzy and so is SEBI at being caught unawares on this!!!! Seems the 3% stake has been picked up by an teething FII. Or is something in the offing!!!! Takeovers….Wall Street type…..are long overdue….market is evolving!!!!

Merger of Oil Majors!!!!! Apart from ONGC all the oil majors do not favour this. Seems this Government thinks big is beautiful……now will they merge the Ministries of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Coal and Power…..Ministry of Energy ( of yore)!!! So in fact India will have a Super CMD and a Super Minister!!!

What's happening to the Indians abducted in Iraq????? Media seems to have blanked them out……Dhananjoy and prospects of flash floods in HP have taken the space!!! KGL does not have a reputation of being a 'fair' employer…….ask the truckers who have worked for KGL!!!! Anyway now it seems the adductors want to negotiate with India directly. A welcome change from the 'on the house' culture!!!! The perfume of honesty speaks for itself even in the barbs of detractors!!!!

'Chirkoot' is a new invention in the UP Political vocabulary!!!! Amar Singh has been using it for the Congressis!!!! 'Chirkoot' in effect means a lowly fellow……high caste Congressis may claim 'reservation' on being classified as 'chirkoots' by Amar Singh…not that Amar Singh is bothered!!!

By the way Mayawathi has said that SP has given 'supari' to get her done in!!!! Amar Singh says this is a 'chirkoot' (this time using it as a verb) allegation!!!! Could this be the advent of a new low in the 'chirkoot' UP politics????

Hulka Fulka…….Milkha Singh has penned an article for a leading Daily……of course the article is ghost written as English is Greek to Milkha!!! He laments about the condition of Indian Sports…..well a lot of the blame lies at his doorstep!!! Imagine even at the age of seventy he expects laurels for his 'so called' achievement to keep flow in!!!!! If nothing else the man should let his ambitions retire!!!!!
