The empanelment process of 1971 batch IAS officers to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India is said to have started. The dossiers have already been circulated and the empanelment will be over latest by October 2004.

A work with a difference

Someone in Government of India is doing work differently. Snehlata Shrivastava, 1982 batch IAS of Madhya Pradesh cadre and Joint secretary in the Ministry of Finance has started a website www.irsofficersonline.org for the Income-Tax Officers. The website, besides collecting and transmitting information, will also be useful for the officers who may request for appointment and also draw attention towards their pending work.

The difficulty they are having in deciding on the constituents of the Coordination Committee should give us all an insight…..or trailer/prequel, of the incoordination!!!! Commies want all the NPA Members to have representatives on this Committee…..Congress is against this……..they want to keep the 'outside support' in a different Committee and the 'inside support' in a different Committee….this way Congress feels it will be able to coordinate them better.

Congressmen in Maharashtra do not want to ally with NCP in the upcoming State Elections. With Chagan Bhujbal's exit could realignments take place in Maharashtra???? NCP - Shiv Sena alliance could not take place because Shiv Sena had objected to Bhujbal's presence in NCP. Now with Bhujbal planning to enter Congress , Pawar would look at this negatively…that is where the Alliance is concerned. Seems in Congress there is a queue to berate Amrinder!!!! After Divedi now it is Abhishek Singhvi's turn. And this will continue …..and will only end when the 'Top Lady' sings (gives her diktat)!!!! SP terms this as the reaffirmation election and Congress terms this as the rejection election (SP's)!!! Ajit Singh is viewing the developments with great interest……he spends his time juggling numbers……just trying to see how his relevance could increase!!!
