Will Power secretary get extention now ?

With Sharad Pawar's power increasing after the Maharashtra elections, the Power secretary, R V Shahi, too can hope to get an extention. His tenure comes to an end in January 2005. Infact Shahi, besides Pawar, is also being reportedly backed by the Power Minister P M Sayeed, Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Ambani's and Cabinet Secretary B K Chaturvedi. The Cabinet Secretary even sent a note that a technocrat like Shahi should be given an extension. The Ten Janpath is totally opposed to this extension. One can only now wait and watch.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

The Commies say that Third Front is still a viable option….garbed threat,
Of course at this suggestion Congress will fume and fret.

Basically Commies want UPA to toe its line…..actually fall in line,
And will ultimately make UPA fall like ' pins nine'!!!!

UPA…..No longer united,
Paswan, Laloo, Pawar.. power squabbles making them more and more disunited.

Progressive….with Commies this Alliance cannot dream of being Progressive,
In fact right description would be regressive.

Alliance…….disintegrating Alliance??
In some way or the other in this alliance there is growing defiance.

So this is the DRM….Disunited Regressive Misalliance,
Their internal contradictions and turf wars will only spurt the defiance.

But Manmohan (Man) is slowly and surely working on Governance…Governance that is good,
Also attempting to make the Governance transparent by removing the secrecy hood.

Man is also trying to weed out corruption,
He is worried as reports say that in UPA there has been a 'corruption ka eruption.'

In Sonia's household there is a debate that why do Bihari politicians suffer from gas,
They air their flatulence unabashedly or unashamedly…very crass!!!

In fact the minute Laloo moves to one side run for cover as far as you can,
No wonders Laloo is also known as the 'Gassing Man'.

He also gasses orally with his burps and words…..flatulence of the oral type,
Ask Railway Ministry Officials……on this they really gripe.

But then they thank God that he comes to the Railway Ministry occasionally…one hour/week,
Laloo does this because for him Administration is abs Greek.

Natwar (Nut) returned and went straight to Man to explain his faux pas which reeks of Nut's stupidity,
Blamed the faux pas to his foot that homes into his oral cavity and shows his crudity.

BJP says that this has exposed another serious infirmity in UPA,
Minister of MEA does not know what to say???

Man should make Shivraj the Minister of MEA and relieve him of Home,
Make Nut Minister of Mines where he can safely be allowed to roam.

On demands of accountability by Laloo in the Railway accident Renuka in a Talk Show said ' one swallow does not make a summer',
Did not know that now Laloo has Renuka as his new drummer.

How many swallows will make a summer….or how many lives will make Laloo react ???
Shows Renuka and Laloo have a pact.

Hulka Fulka

Humpty Dumpty sat on a horse……to play Polo Amrinder did this,
As he mounted the horse the poor horse let out a loud audible pain full hiss.

Shell Shocked is the name of the Horse and this is exactly what was the horse's state,
Poor horse must have wondered what he had done to deserve such a fate.

People present say that it looked like an elephant was astride a horse,
Many onlookers laughed themselves hoarse at a sight that was indeed very coarse.

Shell Shocked is now recovering from overloading of the extremist kind,
The poor horse is now having nightmares of Raja's humongous hind.

Sharukh Khan says he will make a Bond Movie…….Bond fans are in shock,
'Never say this ever again' is how Bond fans mock!!!

Is Infosys in the sights of a hostile takeover???
Are the Infosys Management running for cover???

With Reliance already weighing on the Sensex if this happens Infosys will make the Sensex plummet,
Sensex will fall to a new low from its recently achieved summit.

Confucius says….What goes up has to come down at some time or the other.
He continues….If you do not pay heed to this you will have reason for bother.

It is pitty that Indian Supply Service, an All india Service is in a deplorable condition with respect to promotion prospects and JAG scale for senior time scale officers as compared to officers of other Engineering Services. This is a total injustice to this Service. It is surprising that when PM, PMO is talking about Governance and efficency in Govt, how the same can be brought with a frustrated lot of officers of Indian Supply Service who are not even getting what is due to them. It is disgusting to note that even vacant posts are not being filled up for more than a year. Someone in the hierarchy may look into it.
