Grapevine has it that D K Sankaran will be new Principal Secretary to Maharashtra Chief Minister .He is 1970 batch IAS officer. Present PS Johny Joseph is reportedly set to move as Commissioner of Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

B P Singh is being appointed Chairman of a newly constituted Commission for Reservation for Upper Castes. He is retired 1964 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre.

Padsalgikar to be promoted

D D Padsalgikar is being promoted to the rank of Joint Director in the Intelligence Bureau this month. He is 1982 batch IPS officer of Maharastra cadre.

I & B secretary wants clarification from Prasar Bharti CEO

Secretary Infromation and Broadcasting Pawan Chopra has sought clarification from the Prasar Bharti CEO about the Indian Information Service Officers. Over two dozen IIS officers have already left the Prasar Bharti. Now the Secretary is keen to know as to how many IIS officers are needed by the Prasar Bharti so that career issues can be looked at.
