Total number of 1970 batch empanelled IAS officers is 29

Latest information says that altogether 29 IAS officers of 1970 batch have been empanelled to the rank of Secretary in Government of India. Earlier the figure had risen to 31.

Finally Harbhajan Singh is joining as Joint Secretary and FA in the Ministry of Coal. 1983 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer, Singh is currently Director in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
