Which P K Mishra ?

There are several P K Mishras in the IAS, but with one of them having joined as Addl Secy in Home, the confusion has become worse. Because there is another P K Mishra in Defence as Addl Secy now. Both are from 1972 batch, and both hail from Orissa. But the similarity ends there. The Addl Secy Home is an MA in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, and a PhD from Sussex, has published a highly acclaimed book on Crop Insurance, is from Gujarat Cadre and was Principal Secy to Narendra Modii Modi, CM of Gujarat. This is his first posting in GOI. The Addl Secy Defence is an MA in Political Science, this is his third stint with GOI and is from UP Cadre.

Directorate of Estate needs another shock treatment. Only Supreme Court could do so, as all other agencies will fail badly. Till then, it is a good time to the Estate, all their officers and staff members.

Yes it is true. Now a days the Directorate of Estates do not bother to see if the allottment letters are actually delivered to allottees. They just allott the house in their records and cancel after 3-4 days. Allottee come to know through web site. Really pity.
