UP will have a new Governor and an aggressive Governor….……hands on type……an old Gandhi retainer!!!!! Even Punjab is slated to have a new Governor…that is if Mayawathi again does not put in a good word!!!!!! R.L. Bhatia is tipped for Governorship…..his RAW problem permitting……he recommended the RAW Officer who RAW is on the look out for!!!!

Rahul is being modelled in his Chacha's footsteps…….only hope he will be a 'shareef badmash'…..that is if he follows his Chacha's footsteps. He made his presence felt in UP by demanding that the UP Government either pull up its socks or it should be dismissed. The problem with tainted Ministers is the hue of the taint. Cases like rape , kidnapping and corruption are the ones that give their taint a 'not fit to be Parliamentarian' hue.

As the Government mulls the fuel price increase it needs to look at the phenomenal rate/barrel that Indians end up paying…….against a world average of US$ 27.38 (with base price as US$ 26/barrel) , Indian are paying …hold your breath……US$ 110 / barrel. In this price US$ 42 are taxes.

Rangnath to be Principal Secretary to Karnataka CM !

S.V.Ranganath (1975 batch), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Space, Government of India at
Bangalore is being recalled from Central Deputation to join Narayan Singh Dharam Singh as his Principal
Secretary. Ranganath was Deputy Commissioner of Gulbarga, home district of the CM in 1982-84. He has the distinction of having worked with several CMS with aplomb, with Ramakrishna Hegde (as Deputy Secretary to CM) and then successively with Veerappa Moily, H.D.Devegowda and S.M.Krishna. This is the second time that he is being recalled from Central Deputation. When Krishna became the CM, he was the Chairman Coffee Board and reverted prematurely to be Principal Secretary to the CM. A little known fact about Ranganath is that he is a graduate (and postgraduate too) from the prestigious St. Stephen's College of Delhi University, joined IAS in the first attempt at the youngest possible age of 22, and is a National level Bridge and Chess player. A gentleman to the core, unassuming and widely read Ranganath is the only son of his parents. His father
died some time ago, and mother died recently. The Ranganaths have only a son. Dharam Singh could not have chosen a better Principal Secretary than Ranganath, a person with elephantine memory and unusually nice and friendly to all. He would take over after Government of India releases him from Central Deputation.

Grapevine has it that Punjab Governor Justice O.P.Verma is on his way out. The mysterious new incumbent, whose identity would be known soon, had been offered the Governorship of either UP or Punjab and he has
supposedly chosen Punjab because Governor Punjab is also Administrator, Chandigarh Administration which is quite a hot seat in itself. Who is this mysterious Cong Old Horse?? Is he a senior party functionary in the AICC ?.
