It is widely believed that there is going to be a major Secretary level reshuffle in Government of India in a week or two.

Gopal Krishnan to join PMO

R Gopal Krishnan is joining the PMO as Joint Secretary.1979 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer Gopal Krishnan had been Secretary to former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh for ten years.

35,1973 batch IAS officers empanelled

Altogether 35 ,1973 batch IAS officers are believed to have been cleared for empanelment to the rank of Additional Secretary in Government of India.Prime Minister is yet to clear the list of empanelment.

Sujata Mehta to join PMO ?

Sujata Mehta ,Indian Foreign Service officer is likely to join the PMO.Sujata Mehta currently posted in the MEA would replace P S Raghvan.

K J Singh to be DG ITBP !

Kanwal Jit Singh is being tipped to be next DG of the ITBP.In all probability 1969 batch West Bengal Cadre IPS officer Singh would succeed Uttar Pradesh cadre 1968 batch IPS officer R C Agrawal who is superannuating on July 31.

Ms Bhupinder Prasad to go on leave

Secretary to the Lt Governor of Delhi,Ms Bhupinder Prasad is proceeding on seven months leave beginning July 1. She is 1976 batch IAS officer of UT cadre.

Kapil Mohan to be PS to Muniappa

Kapil Kumar is PS to Union Minister of State Road Transport and Highways K H Muniappa. He is 1990 batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre.

Mukesh Jain to join SSB

Mukesh Jain is joining the SSB. 1989 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IPS officer Jain is currently posted in Jaipur as Regional Passport Officer.

Which Anup ?
Anup Mishra (1978 UP) who is Joint Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat was hoping to land the prestigious job at the World Bank as Adviser to Executive Director from India. With a change in Government at Delhi, his
case may be reconsidered. Though the new Cabinet Secretary B K Chaturvedi, a Brahmin from UP like his
predecessor Kamal Pandey is well disposed towards Anup Mishra he has competition now. Two other Anups, in the IAS, have some backing at 7 Race Course Road. Dr Anup Wadhwan (1985 UP) from the PMO has a PhD in Economics from the US and is a serious contender, having handled economic ministries in PMO. Wadhwan is yet to be empanelled as a JS though. Another "Anup" in the reckoning, though uninterested in going abroad, is Dr Anup Pujari (1980 batch) from Karnataka cadre (no relation of Janardan Poojary, Chief of Karnataka Congress). He has a degree from Delhi School of Economics and a PhD from US. In addition he has been teaching at Harvard, every summer, for more than a decade as a visiting Professor. He has also worked in Commerce Ministry at Delhi. His not being in Delhi is a disadvantage. Another Anup, who is to play a key role in the selection is Anup Mukherjee (1974 Bihar), JS in Cabinet Secretariat. Only future would tell which ANUP would emerge victorious ! Anup Thakur (1979 Assam-Meghalaya) having gone off to Tokyo has eliminated him from the field.

This time the Rajya Sabha elections can be described as Losers and Shakers…….the list of Lokh Sabha Election losers trying to enter Parliament via Rajya Sabha is endless………Shakers…..Anil Ambani, Lalit Suri, Jaya Bachchan!!!!!

But, Ambani standing for the Rajya Sabha elections is a big surprise???? Ambanis have never openly sided with any political party and though Anil's proximity with Mulayam is known , but , standing for an election with the support of SP is a new for the Ambani family!!!!!! Many are also disappointed at his declared net worth…..Rs. 213 crores. Quite a few Mumbai wallahs are smiling!!!!!

Governors are being appointed……Jakhar had to be pushed to take up the appointment , however Bhatia took his appointment to God's Country happily. Fotedar on being informed that he could be the next Pondecharry Governor let out a moan….. he feels Pondi appointment is like 'kaala pani'!!!!!

Buta Singh has already started packing his bags …and so has his loving and 'lovely' son!!!!! Buta has some cervical problem and looks like a spaceman with a contraption around his head………he has lobbied with High Command that on account of his medical condition he should be given AP, where he can get the necessary medical attention……..so he can replace Barnala.

But, they say Barnala is a Congressman in Akali clothing!!!!! He has built his bridges with the Congress on account of his anti Badal stance. Actually more than Barnala , his better half is more extremer in the anti Badal stance. Barnala may wear the pants in the family but the garters that hold up his pants are controlled by his better half!!!!!

Madan Lal Khurana….missed Delhi …yearned for Delhi……and Delhi too missed Khurana. In fact during the recent Lokh Sabha elections Khurana was missed…….his sweet tooth, though he is a diabetic, is legendary…..no wonders they call him Jalebi Khurana……..sweet and twisted ( in the political way) !!!!!

No Congressman is willing to take up the Governorship of Bihar. Congress will offer this to the Allies???? How about offering this post to Bardhan?????

By the way the Commies have been rating the Cabinet…….PM Manmohan Singh gets high marks and Natwar Singh gets the lowest……negative marking was not allowed, otherwise Natwar's marks could have created history!!!!!

Natwar has been advised to keep track of his foot and to keep his mouth closed……..so at to prevent the 'foot in mouth' he is suffering from. Nowadays Natwar just responds with an acidic ' no comments' …he can do so diplomatically with a smile!!!!! Okay if not to the Desi Press, who he blames for his woes, he can at least do so with the Videshi Press.

All is not well with Paswan and Laloo, the Rajya Sabha nominees are a pointer…..Paswan's choice has been rejected. Laloo has also got one of his 'salaas' a nomination…….sari duniya ek tharaf joroo ka bhai ek tharaf!!!! This of course being an outfall of Laloo keeping Chapra and dropping Madhepura!!!!

Dacoities have shot up on the trains in Bihar…..actually the Dacoits consider themselves as Cousins (mausere bhai) of Laloo……..moreover they feel they have a lot of catching up to do with their other City Cousins who have made a pile in kidnappings!!!!!
