Will Baswan succeed Kamal Pande ?

A meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Secretary Social Justice B S Baswan on Tuesday has fuelled speculations that the latter is going to succeed Cabinet Secretary Kamal Pande.He is likely to be posted as OSD in the PMO prior to his appointment as Cabinet Secretary.Bhartendra Singh Baswan is 1967 batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre.One source said that Baswan would be made Home Secretary.
