The next senior-most in the line is 1968 batch IAS officer Kamal Mohan Chadha but he is retiring this year in November. He is presently Spl RC, Nagaland House in Delhi. The most likely candidate is 1973 batch IAS officer P Tali Temjen, but somehow the state Government is not much in his favour. Still as nobody else seems to be eligible and the state Government will not like to bypass the seniority as a local naga officer is in question. Most likely Tali temjen will take over . Meanwhile,the State Government is reportedly still persuading R S Pandey to continue for some more time.
