IPS changes in TN

Tamil Nadu government has gone in for a major reshuffle in its police department. With this, R Nataraj, shifted as ADGP, Law and Order, Chennai, soon after the Lok Sabha elections in May, replaces K Natarajan, who moves to Tamilnadu Electricity Board as ADGP, Vigilance. Natarajan had succeeded Nataraj in the reshuffle effected after the elections. The Crime-Branch CID ADGP K V S Murthy is now the new ADGP, Law and Order. Besides, Chengalpattu East District Superintendent of Police K Shankar has been transferred. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Greater Chennai, Sandeep Mittal is replacing Shankar who had been posted as SP, Economic Offences Wing-II, Chennai in place of P Sakthivelu. Similarly, Sivaganga district SP Anand Kumar Somani has been transferred as SP of Tirunelveli district in place of M C Sarangan while DIG of Police, Ramanathapuram Range, would hold additional charge of Sivaganga until further orders.
