ISS probationers posted

While Rangarajan Committee has recommended that all the direct recruits of ISS, on the completion of two years probation, be posted in Field Operations Division (FOD) for four years so as to make themselves conversant with nuances of data collection process, seven out of eight new recruits have been - vide orders dated November 10, posted as babus at the desk offices of different ministries. Only one of them has managed to get FOD and that too at Delhi. No one expects any answer from the cadre who always looks the other way.

Exeter University warns lecturer

Exeter University has warned Dennis Almeida that the failure to adhere to conventionally accepted tenets of authorship could lead to his being brought before a tribunal and he may even be dismissed from the university. Professor Raju, head of the Centre for Computer science, of the MCRP University, Bhopal, had complained to the University about the breach of ethics by Almeida.
