GoI for ban on extension after 60 years age

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, while imposing a blanket ban on extending service tenures beyond the retirement age of 60 years, has directed Cabinet Secretary B K Chaturvedi to put an end to such requests. This would check favouritism by ministers to bureaucrats and executives of public sector undertakings. Even the recommendations regarding the same will not be allowed.
