I think the writer too have myopic vision about IAS; Although writer admits that at least they are good at general administration. The real point to discuss is about finances where almost all the states are in red. The developmental projects are out of gear due to this very factor. Ours is a welfare state so regarding profitability it can not be compared with private sector. We must demarcate certain areas where profits govern the success criteria. If we talk about specialists and their output, can writer point out any Govt./ semi govt. organisation; without IAS; which is doing works upto the international standards. Writer should also give suggestion for solution
