Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary, Mohan Kanda, is all set to take over as Member of the National Disaster Management Authority on October 1.1968 batch IAS officer, Kanda, will get Minister of State status. He is scheduled to retire on September 30.

Ms Vandana Kumari Jena who is moving to HRD Ministry and will in all probability be Joint Secretary and Director General Literacy Mission. She is 1979 batch IAS officer of Orissa cadre.

SK Dudeja is likely to take over as Director(Projects) of NHPC on October 1, 2005. The post will fall vacant on retirement of AK Gangopadhya who is superannuating on September 30, 2005. Dudeja is currently the Chief Executive Officer, Narmada Hydro Development Corporation.
