UP government is reported to have initiated punitive action against bureaucrats seeking to clean the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) by starting a vote campaign to identify the "five most corrupt officials" amongst them. State Chief Secretary, Neera Yadav reportedly reprimanded a couple of officials associated with this IAS Action Group. She has also asked departments to issue show cause notices to all their officials associated with the'anti-corruption' crusade.

PMO instructions to implement e-governance and transparency to speed up work in Government has been flouted by Min.Of Commerce beyond any stretch of imagination.When the officers of Indian Supply Service are sloging at senior time scale after putting 28 years of Group A service in the absence of any cadre management,the department has failed to fill up 8 vacancies at JAG level for more than a year on flimsy ground of Supreme Court interim ordes.Same order was issued for six other Deptts.but none of them stopped promotion of their officers based on this order except for Min. Of Commerce. Min. Of Commerce has taken more than two years to seek advice of DOPT and Deptt. of Legal Affairs in this case..Even now when both the Deptts. have cleared the case,Min. Of Commerce is sitting over the file for more than a month without any reason.Will Commerce Secretary look into it.
