One dozen IPS officers are superannuating by this month end. They are Mssrs H K Deka (Assam), A K Puri (HP), A K Doval (Kerala), A A Siddiqui and R K Gupta(Punjab), L P Mishra (Uttaranchal), Bhagwan Singh and R A Gautam (UP), Shyamal Kumar Dutta, Ram Krishna Roy, Md Rafiuzzaman and Shankar Nath Mukhopadhyay (West Bengal).

4,IFS officers to retire

Four Indian Forests Service Officers Mssrs S K Sharma(Chhattisgarh), B N Dwivedi (Jharkhand), Prakash Chandra Agrawal(UP) and Ganesh Behari Thapliyal( West Bengal) are retiring by this month end.

Is Joseph being removed?

Maharashtra grapevine has it that the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Chairman, Johny Joseph, is being removed. He is though close to the Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Minister RR Patil is said to be in favour of his removal.

Applications for training abroad invited

Government of India's Public Grievances and Pensions Department of Personnel and Training, falling under Ministry of Personnel, has through a letter written to the Chief Secretaries of all the State Governments/ UT's, the Secretaries of all the Ministries/Departments of Government of India, invited applications for the training programmes abroad to be funded by foreign governments. These programmes are to take place during 2005.
