PM turns down Banking Secretary extension !

Finance Minister P Chidambaram reportedly sent a proposal for three month extension to the Banking Secretary NS Sisodia but the PM is said to have turned it down. Afterall every body cannot be as lucky as the Secretary (Power) who got the one despite the opposition of 10 Janpath initially.1968 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer Sisodia is superannuating by this month end.

Secretary- Heavy Industries, Adarsh Kishore, has also been made the OSD in Expenditure. It has been decided that he would carry on at both the places for the next three months.

Social Justice Minister Meira Kumar has rejected the name of 1975 batch Orissa cadre IAS officer Gopi Nath Pegu for the post of Joint Secretary. She has now asked for the fresh panel. The post has fallen vacant following the completion of deputation tenure of Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS officer Rajwant Sandhu.
