Why there are no lobbies in customs for officers to be posted in Kolkata, Allahabad, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Shillong, Jodhpur, Belgaum, Guntur, Pondicherry, Kozhikode, Vishakhapatnam, Cochin, and Tiruchirapalli? The lobbying is only for Mumbai and around, Delhi and around, Punjab, Gujarat, Chennai and around and Hyderabad. Will the CBEC and the CBDT take notice of this ?.

Mr Jagdish Chander was transfered to Jaipur in 1999, in 2000 to Jaipur and again in 2001 to Patna but the orders were not implemented on any of these occasions despite his request for transfer even to Shillong where no one is willing to be posted. He had not even got his house whitewashed for the last six years simply because he expected that he would not be staying there next year. It is therefore incorrect to say that he managed to stay in Delhi. He did not wish to stay in Delhi or any other big city but he wants to be posted at some small station but his wish is not being fulfilled, perhaps, because he does not have any influence.
