Who will be new Secretary Food and Civil Supplies in the Government of India ?.Tie is said to be between UP cadre 1970 batch IAS officer V K Malhotra and D N Padhi 1971 batch IAS officer of Orissa cadre. Malhotra is currently Chairman of the FCI while Padhi is Additional Secretary Food and Civil Supplies. The post is falling vacant on July 1.

He wanted leave of absence to work for McKinsey and Company USA. The Foreign Secretary, however, turned down his request. How come the counterparts in the IAS have been given similar permission to work in similar company ?.

But what happens to Vilasrao Desmukh remains to be seen. CAT, which has stayed Lall's transfer from constitutional post of Chairman, Finance Commission, has said in its order that its malafide on the part of CM due to non-allotment of plot to Amit Desmukh who is the son of CM and penalty levied on Amit Desmukh's company by CIDCO of whom Lall was the former MD & Vice Chairman.
