Nine IAS officers are to be interviewed by the Prime Minister for the post of Defence Secretary. Names are said to have been short-listed. The post will fall vacant on July 31 following the superannuation of 1967 batch Uttaranchal cadre IAS officer A V Singh.

Ashok Jha moves to North Block

Secretary Industrial Policy and Promotion Ashok Jha has been moved to the North-Block as Secretary Economic Affairs. He is 1969 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre.

Secretary Economic Affairs in the Government of India is back to the Reserve Bank of India as Deputy Governor.His appointment has been cleared by the Prime Minister.

Meenakshi Anand Chaudhry is not going to Haryana as Chief Secretary. Earlier the name of 1969 batch IAS officer, Ms Chaudhry, was in circulation for the post. She is currently Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare, in the Government of India.

Why is Karat angry with Cong?

Grapevine has it that the left leader Prakash Karat is angry with the Congress because the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was, at least apparently, giving more importance to Surjeet Singh. In a recent case Dr. Singh personally went to see Surjit but not Karat. The Prime Minister only made a phone call to him. Is this the reason why the Left has announced to boycott coordination committee meetings ?

Tourism is catering to the Tourists wants not to your silly notions,
Just imagine what will happen when the entire group gets the runs…..loose motions!!!

This will not be like holidaying in the Countryside……. why show them this side,
This is something we should hide.

Why show them the true India…… where life is hard and hearts are big,
Where for each other and the Country they do care a fig!!!!

What will we tell them that why do good and hospitable people live such a hard zinadagi???
Because they are not lacking in any in hard work or bandagi ( prayers).

So keep our 'black gold' under wraps……… true India can shock,
