AMITABH BACCHAN
I usually take a walk on Juhu Beach in the morning. Amitabh comes for a walk disguised and though he feels he has disguised himself all the regulars recognize him but play along with him and feign ignorance.

The other day I stopped at a narial paani vend and asked the vendor to give me a garri or malaee waala narial. I heard a booming voice say, " Muhje bhi" and I turned around and it was Amitabh in his disguise.

Me: Would you like me to continue the charade or can I recognize you??
Amitabh: (surprised) You recognized me???
Me: Of course…and practically all the regulars also recognize you!!
Amitabh: And I thought I was a good actor……you guys beat me any day!!!

The narial waala hands us our narials.

Me: So you are going to be back on the idiot box with KBC!
Amitabh: Yes …….. back to being the Cash waala Santa Claus!!!
Me: Tell me one thing how is your own GK??
Amitabh: GK………what's that??
Me: General knowledge…..chalo anyway I've got the answer!!
Amitabh: Would you like a wild card entry???
Me: No……. isn't KBC your comeback vehicle??

Me: Why did you enter politics??
Amitabh: Well when Bollywood Stars start realizing that their days are numbered in the Industry they start looking to other careers where they can use their mass appeal and acting talent. And you know politics requires both mass appeal and acting…..in fact many of our Politicians would be very successful in Bollywood!!!
Me: They say Rajiv Gandhi got you into politics!!!
Amitabh: Yes…… but please do not ask me more on this matter as I am now contemplating my autobiography and you can read about this in it!!!
Me: Seems the writing bug has bitten your brother also!!!
Amitabh : ( makes a sour face) Bhai bhai naa rahaa!!!
Me: What is your reaction to his writing a book on you???
Amitabh: My estranged brother writing a book on me…… what else can I say????
Me: He has promised to spill cans and cans of beans!!!
Amitabh : Yes …duly baked and spiced up by him……he can say what he wants but mere paas Ma hai!!!

We walk towards the sea.

Me: In the book Ajitabh says he will reveal the true Amitabh ….also show that you were responsible for the souring of the Gandhi and Bachchan relations!!!
Amitabh: Ajitabh versus Amitabh………whose word will people take???
Me: Could Sonia be egging Ajitabh to write this book...what if the book has a forward by Sonia???
Amitabh: All I can say is that the book is going to boomerang and there will be egg on a lot of faces.

Amitabh takes off his shoes and starts walking in the water.

Me: What magic does Amar Singh have on you and Anil???
Amitabh: Bhai hai hamaara!!!
Me: But this bhai has made you both fight with your asli bhais???
Amitabh: Hogwash….. Amar is a brother in deed!!
Me: Has he got you to wear all those rings you wear on your fingers and on your thumb???
Amitabh: Yes….he is a superstitious guy…….. and is always worrying about me! (shows me his feet) …..see I'm wearing rings on my toes also.
Me: Do you feel Amar is the gatecrasher he is being made out to be???
Amitabh: Gate crasher and Amar…….he has too much class to be a gate crasher…..and one sparrow does not make a summer!!
Me: Yes the Dinner at 10 Janpath is costing him this gate crasher reputation!!
Amitabh: And imagine the next day he had a terrible stomach upset……. in fact he wanted to ask Sonia about the catering but she simply would not take his call!!

We sit on the sand.

Me: Your life has been a roller coaster??
Amitabh : Yes and I have ridden the roller coaster.
Me: What is all this talk about you and Rekha???
Amitabh: Yaar I got too high with bhang in a holi scene in Silsala and Rekha took it that I was latoo on her. When the bhang effect vanished so did I …that is from her side!!!
Me: But where there is smoke there is fire??
Amitabh: And when you are married there is a fire extinguisher known as the wife!!!
Me: Mallika Sharawat says it is her dream to see you running in slow motion!!
Amitabh: Backwards or forwards???
Me: She has the hots for you so you better be careful??
Amitabh: Yaar I am a buddha now…….. if I run she'll get put off when she sees me panting and gasping for breath!!!

A chai waala passes and we both take tea in glasses…..paani kum chai or cutting chai.

Me: They says when you were down and out while travelling you bought a watch and now this watch is a coveted possession???
Amitabh: (showing the watch on his wrist) Yes this is the watch….has shown me bad time and good time!!!
Me: What is your most prized possession???
Amitabh: My sanity!!!
Me: Materialistically !!!
Amitabh: After riding the roller coaster I've realized how worthless things really are!!!
Me: But there must be something!!
Amitabh: Yaar stop hassling me……today if there is one possession that I worry about loosing …it is my hair!!!
Me: Why the colour difference between your goatee and the hair on your head???
Amitabh: Dil toh hai jawan parr abh bodily I am a buddha……. my way of telling the gals that the mind is willing but the body ain't !!!

Amitabh gets up shakes my hand and walks off.

The chai waala who served us tea comes to take the glasses and says, " Gayaa kya lamboo……… salaa mukaddar ka sikandar hai."

I think to myself …….. now there is a Deewar between both bros and hope his estranged bro via his book does not end up making him into a Don or Mr. Natwarlal….because the brother's objective is just this!!!!
