Finally justice has been done to the former Commerce Secretary Deepak Chatterjee. Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh has reportedly fulfilled his promise by appointing him as Ambassador to European Countries at Brussels. Despite the fact that he was senior to present Cabinet Secretary B K Chaturvedi, 1966 batch West Bengal cadre IAS officer Chatterjee had been denied the coveted post. After the appointment of Chaturvedi, the Prime Minister had assured Chatterjee a dignified post.
