Shivraj Singh to vacate seat for Varun Gandhi ?

Grapevine has it that BJP General Secretary Shivraj Singh is vacating Vidisha Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh for Varun Gandhi. Shivraj Singh in turn will either be made Chief Minister or State President of the BJP.The objective of the BJP is to counter Rahul Gandhi in the years to come. One can only wait and watch.

V K Duggal is new Home Secretary

V K Duggal has been appointed new Home Secretary.1968 batch IAS officer of UT cadre Duggal is presently Secretary Water Resources.He is an Ex-army officer. Duggal will succeed Dhirendra Singh who is superannuating on March 31.

Option of absorption in Telecommunications Department

Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, has called for the option of absorption of Group 'A' officers from Indian Telecom Service (ITS), Telegraph Traffic Service (TTS) and Telecom Factories Service (TFS) in MTNL and BSNL. While the effective date of absorption shall be October 1, 2000, the Officers working in MTNL/BSNL shall give their options through their concerned circle or unit head.
