Rahul should not end up like Prince Charles or Anupam Kher….. either way a crime!!!

Will Anil Goyal be acting CMD of IA ?

A proposal is ready in the Ministry of Civil Aviation to appoint Anil Goyal as acting CMD of the Indian Airlines.He is currently MD of Alliance Air.

RJD takes up Yogendra Prasad's case

A senior Union Cabinet Minister of RJD had written to the Prime Minister that Yogendra Prasad who retired, in April this year, as CMD, NHPC should be re-appointed for a period of two years. The proposal of the Ministry of Power was rejected twice to give extension to Prasad.
Hoping to get re-appointment, Prasad is still to vacate his official residence even though he retired about six months back. Since the Ministry has failed to make up its mind on new CMD of NHPC, the proposal of the RJD leader assumes significance. In case he is able to make a come back, the fortune of the two current contenders of the post SC Sharma and Sankaralingam will be sealed. In the meantime the Guwahati High Court has directed the Ministry of Power to decide the appointment of new CMD within a month. Only a few days are left to the deadline. Let us see who will be the lucky one for this plum posting.

Portfolios redistributed in RBI

Portfolios of the Deputy Governors of the Reserve Bank of India have been re-distributed. Dr Rakesh Mohan will be in charge of Department of Economic Analysis and Policy, Department of Statistical Analysis and Computer services, Monetary Policy Department, Financial markets Department, Secretary's Department and Co-ordination work. V. Leeladhar will be in charge of Department of Administration and Personnel Management (including central security cell), Department of Banking Operations and Development, Department of Banking Supervision, Department of Information Technology, Department of Non-banking Supervision, Department of Payment and Settlement System and Human Resource Development Department. Ms Shymala Gopinath will look after Government and Bank Accounts, Department of Expenditure and Budgetary Control, Department of External Investments and Operations, Foreign Exchange Department, Internal Debt Management Department and Legal Department. Ms Usha Thorat, new Deputy Governor will be in-charge of Department of Currency Management Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation, Inspection Department, Premises Department, Rural Planning and Credit Department and Urban Banks Department.
