Two year's fix tenure after Justice Lahoti's retirement ?

Those willing to see two-year's fix tenure - for the five posts in question - enforced will now have to wait till October 31 - a day when the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice RC Lohati, retires. Why?.Manmohan Singh government, it may be pointed out here, is keen to have fixed tenure of two years for the Foreign Secretary, the Home Secretary, the Defence Secretary, the Intelligence Bureau Chief and the RAW Chief.

Speculation about Kulkarni in Maharashtra

Intense speculation is going on in the bureaucratic circles in Maharashtra about the new posting of 1982 batch IAS officer Anand Kulkarni. Kulkarni who is back from central deputation has been temporarily appointed MD of Maharashtra State Small Scale Industries Corporation. It is widely believed that Kulkarni would either be MD of the MMRDA or CIDCO or move as Divisional Commissioner Pune.
